The wildflower fields of California are like an abstract expressionist daydream. Rivers of orange and purple pouring out of the hills. People say when you go see a Mark Rothko painting, you’re supposed to get as close as possible, so the painting becomes a colorful landscape. From inside the museum walls to outside in nature, you are now transported. If you close your eyes you may smell flowers, grass, and ocean.
